For the first time, Opensignal has analyzed the experience of our 5G users across the three largest cities in South Korea, comparing the results on each major mobile operator.
5G users on average consume up to 2.7x more mobile data compared to 4G users
Opensignal has analyzed our 5G smartphone users' average mobile data consumption in six leading 5G countries and found that in the month of September 2020, on average, they consumed up to 2.7 times more mobile data compared to 4G users.
Benchmarking the global 5G user experience – October update
Across these 15 countries analyzed, users see 5G download speeds that are 5 to 6 times faster than 4G. In every country 5G is much faster than 4G.
