Across the 14 markets we analysed:
- 3500MHz is LATAM's de facto 5G band: deployed in 11 of 14 markets, and the sole 5G band in five of them.
- Sub-1GHz 5G is almost entirely absent from LATAM: present only in Puerto Rico. Without low-band spectrum, 5G rural coverage and in-building penetration remain challenging.
- Puerto Rico stands apart structurally: it is the only market splitting deployment across four bands, reflecting a layered network strategy.
