Understanding why so many German smartphone users are still 3G-only
Opensignal analyzed the mobile experience of our German users who have never accessed mobile data on a 4G network, and found that 81.4% of those 3G-only users likely chose not to upgrade to a 4G subscription or have disabled 4G connections on their phones.
Comparing the mobile experience between Germany’s MVNOs and the major operators
For the most part, our MVNO users experience significantly slower speeds than customers of the host network brands — O2, Telekom and Vodafone — although there are a few notable exceptions such as 1&1 Drillisch and Mobilcom-Debitel where the difference in experience is smaller.
