The State of Mobile Video Experience 2019
In one year mobile Video Experience has significantly improved in 59% of 100 countries analyzed. But the U.S. is lagging behind on mobile video as carriers face a spectrum crunch. Uniquely, Opensignal tests mobile video streaming at scale and does not estimate video experience based on speed tests or other indirect measurements.
Indonesian users in sparsely-populated rural areas connect to 4G more than 70% of the time
Opensignal found that despite 4G networks approaching near-ubiquitous level, a connectivity gap exists between sparsely populated rural areas and densely populated urban areas of Indonesia.
Comparing users across Singtel group highlights Voice, Video and Download speed differences
Opensignal has analyzed the experience of our users across Singtel group’s mobile operator subsidiaries and regional associates. We found that while there is a big gap between Singtel's wholly-owned entities in Singapore and Australia (Optus) and the rest in Download Speed Experience, the gap was narrower for both Voice App Experience and Video Experience.
